Professionally Written Compositions (PWC)

After having finished four of ten of these I will say that they are pretty challenging they are not all free 35 points.  I would say that the closest one that is a free 35 points was the Linkedin PWC.  You just have to get your profile to all-star for 35 points and share it … Continue reading Professionally Written Compositions (PWC) →

After having finished four of ten of these I will say that they are pretty challenging they are not all free 35 points.  I would say that the closest one that is a free 35 points was the Linkedin PWC.  You just have to get your profile to all-star for 35 points and share it with Lance.  Not to say that it was a free 35 points it was just the easiest of the 4 we got so far.  The toughest one I would say was the first because that seemed like the most analytical one.  The most bizarre one to me was the yelp review mainly because it had to be 500 words or more.  I feel that to make it 500 words easily you have to feel really strongly about something in a good or bad way.  In other words it was your best time or your worst time at a place.  The second PWC would have been a lot easier for me but I guess I am not as involved as I should be.

Direct messages

These are good for quick and simple things or requests you want to get done and get back to you.  Almost like test messages?  I would like to get direct messages if it saves time and it starts the dialogue between A & B, then I can decide if I need to go long with… Continue reading Direct messages

In-class Recall Practice 3

Dang this one was probably the hardest one, I got a 5/7 which is my lowest scoring recall practice.  When I look back at it in hindsight the questions I got wrong, the answers were kind of obvious.  One of the questions I got wrong was question 2 and in this case it came down … Continue reading In-class Recall Practice 3 →

Dang this one was probably the hardest one, I got a 5/7 which is my lowest scoring recall practice.  When I look back at it in hindsight the questions I got wrong, the answers were kind of obvious.  One of the questions I got wrong was question 2 and in this case it came down to either a or b.  A was consider  composing important messages offline and B was Use general tags such as Hi! or Important as the subject line to catch the reader’s attention.  I was split between these two but A does make more sense than B after looking at the answer because you do not have to have a tag such as Hi! in the subject line.  Overall, I am not too concerned I think I will be alright

TLDR: Worst scoring recall practice, the answers made sense in hindsight and I am not too concerned about this recall practice.

Too Direct

I think at times, being direct can help move along the conversation or situation, because some peeps just don’t get it at times.  Maybe, try using hints and if that don’t work, ask someone else, how they would say it?  Being direct can hurt others and you might end up with a huge scratch on… Continue reading Too Direct

Writing a Complaint

Today we had an in-class activity, where we had to write a complaint to a company to ask for a refund or something of that sort. I thought this activity was very interesting because I had no idea that even a complaint had to be written in a certain way. When I actually broke it down to a subject, body, and conclusion, it sounded like it would have more of an impact towards the receiver. I also did not know, the resonse to a complaint is also written in the same style as the complaint. I usually never file any complaints towards any company, but at least now I know how!

Spencers Blog 2017-09-21 04:10:28

I really like Sheila’s clog from class today. I was thinking of writing a blog with a similar topic but she really nailed it with her clog. It was written very well and expressed the importance of understanding and how one comes across whether written or spoken affects others understanding of different ideas. I think … Continue reading

I really like Sheila’s clog from class today. I was thinking of writing a blog with a similar topic but she really nailed it with her clog. It was written very well and expressed the importance of understanding and how one comes across whether written or spoken affects others understanding of different ideas. I think now more than ever our society and the world in general could be more understanding of our differences and communicate our ideas and points of view better instead of using hatred or violence when we don’t understand someone or something.

Ruby Tuesdays

I am requesting a gift certificate for a replacement meal of my choice for the following reason.

On September 20, 2017 I visited your windward mall location for a business lunchen. I ordered a cheese burger basket well done with onion rings. When my order arrived  it was a hamburger cooked rare, with a side of French fries.

I will be returning for a business luncheon on Sept 27 and expect to hear from you no later than September 24.
