Based on the three scenario’s in the team work exercise, I thought receiving/giving feedback was the most important take away from it. Each group could have alleviated either extra time spent by certain individuals, received better results and used less effort if feedback was used at the correct times and given/received respectfully. Scenario 1, where the two leaders pretty much did the entire project, although it resulted in good grades. The leaders never gave feed back unless it was between each other. Never giving feedback and doing the other three’s parts in the group led to them inputting more effort and time than everyone else. Scenario 2, never gave feedback to each other. Instead they supported and agreed on everyone’s choices and decision resulting in a lower grade than they expected. Scenario 3, did not use feedback at the correct times and let individuals take on positions they knew they were not savvy in, leading in a lower grade as well. I believe feedback is required to be successful as a team. It gives the group/individuals the criticism and corrections to perform and provide their best product. It also opens up conversation which in hopes gets everyone involved, preventing mistakes or issues that may reflect in their grade if it is not handled and fixed during the process of putting together their final product.
